Ayatollah Isa Ahmed Qassim has reiterated his firm rejection to the unjust regulations imposed by Bahrain’s regime governing access to the pulpit, religious preaching and guidance.
Below is the text of his recent statement:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The entire package of decisions issued by Bahrain’s authoritarian political authority is rejected according to the standard of Tawhid and the oneness of Allah Almighty.
There is no legislation for the servants of Allah except that which comes from Allah, given His absolute position as Lord and God.
The collective response of believers, and the response of each individual among them to all these decisions, is one and the same: the declaration of Tawhid, “There is no god but Allah.”
This constitutes an unequivocal declaration of opposition to these decisions and reflects the profound and irreconcilable clash between them and the principle of Tawhid—a principle that can neither be broken nor overcome.
This is a purely religious, intellectual and practical position imposed by the true faith, far removed from all political and worldly calculations and interests around which disputes among people revolve in this life.
A true Muslim understands how impossible a demand is when he is asked to expect another Muslim to disobey his Lord Almighty in order to comply with His commands and prohibitions, placing his own will above the will of Allah, against whom nothing can stand, endure, or resist.
